Marmoset monkeys now call Paradise Country home

Marmosets are the smallest members of the new world monkey family, growing to about 250 grams!

Twins are very common in Marmoset families

Marmosets have claws on all of their fingers, except for their big toes which have nails

Marmoset Encounter

Get up close and meet the adorable Marmoset monkeys at Paradise Country's Marmoset exhibit.

Please Note: Marmosets aren't big fans of rain! To keep them happy and cozy, their encounters will be rescheduled on rainy days. We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

A portion of proceeds from every Marmoset Encounter will be donated to Paradise Country’s Save a Mate’ conservation campaign, proudly supported by the Sea World Foundation.

Animal Encounter

Up to 20 minute interactive and educational experience

1 x 6x8 printed photo of your encounter

Children under 8 years are not permitted. Children between the ages of 8 and 14 must be accompanied by a participating adult 18+

Small group session (maximum 2 people per encounter)

10:30am daily

$65 per person or $115 for two people

Participants must wear enclosed footwear

Sex: Female and Male

Double trouble has never looked so cute! Twins Aztec and Arilla were born in late 2019, and now at a few months old have started to venture away from mum Inca and dad Mayan exploring their jungle habitat! Aztec, the male is a lot like his dad and is the more adventurous of the two. Arilla is the more cautious of the two. She is happy to sit back and watch her brother, before she decides to join in and play.

Handsome Mayan is the leader of our little marmoset family. He has a calm and inquisitive nature, making him a great role model and dad. He is often the first one in the group to investigate new things in the environment and is never too far away from his mate, Inca.

Sex: Female

Miss Inca is the proud doting mother of our little marmoset troop. She gave birth to her first offspring, a set of twins, in late 2019 and has tackled motherhood head on! Inca is a very intelligent monkey who is often the first marmoset over for a training session. She is a quick learner and is always happy to receive grapes as rewards.
