These playful and curious meerkats love to entertain! Keep an eye out for Aya, Sarabi, Keeya, and Maliah as they dig, climb, and scurry around their exhibit.
Meet the Gang

Aya
Born: 13th Jan 2015 | Sex: Female Aya is the mother of Sarabi, Keeya and Maliah. Though young, she’s successfully raised several litters of pups and often takes the role of lookout, keeping her family safe from predators.

Sarabi
Born: 17th Aug 2019 | Sex: Female Aya's eldest daughter and a dominant, confident member of the family. Sarabi is always the first to investigate new things and often helps her mum keep an eye on her little sisters.

Keeya & Maliah (Twins)
Born: 5th Aug 2020 | Sex: Female These two are the youngest of Aya's pups. Keeya stands out with her fluffy coat, while Maliah, with her slender build, resembles big sister Sarabi. Maliah loves to play and Keeya loves to chat with the keepers.

Native to southern Africa – deserts and dry savannahs in countries like Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa.

Group: Mob, Gang, or Clan – highly social, live in groups of up to 40, take turns keeping watch.
